As the country remains under a lockdown to battle a daunting coronavirus outbreak, PEN has braced itself to help the labourers, daily wagers and needy families of its adopted schools whose livelihood has been badly affected. Considering the gravity of the current situation, our generous directors and donors took an initiative to help almost 30,000 deserving households by distributing the ration packs of basic grocery items including flour, rice, oil packets, different pulses, tea, sugar, salt and soap etc. among them. PEN has taken the first step by providing the ration packs in its two adopted schools i.e. GPS. Saint Lawrence on March 31st,2020 and in GPS. Bhabhra on April 1 st, 2020 with the cooperation of their Head teachers. Alhamdulilah! A total number of 125 needy families from each school were being catered. We made sure a fair distribution to promote uniformity in the whole disbursement exercise. Head teachers and the community appreciated the efforts made by PEN. We promise to continue and extend our ration distribution campaign to other schools, clusters, districts and different areas country wide to help the affectees of this COVID – 19 pandemic. Inshallah
