In response to COVID-19 mandates, teachers, students, and educational technologists worldwide are being forced to transition to an online-only environment, as many schools have stopped operating amid Corona lockdowns. Through this transition, all parties within the educational system are being challenged to quickly adapt to this new setting, with online digital platforms being responsible for ensuring all learning resources are available for learners from a remote location. The call for e-Learning platforms often goes beyond providing reference materials, as many digital platforms are being turned into emergency care centers for patients with COVID-19 and resource hubs for the latest COVID-19 news and updates.

Seeing this transition from traditional to remote online learning, Progressive Education Network (PEN) launched a new free online learning resource <www.penacademy.pk> for pre-K-5 students to continue education at home during coronavirus. The site includes supplementary practice exercises and materials for educators. All resources are freely available in English and Urdu for children, parents and teachers.
